How Andre Alerts Users of Patients Who Have Not Completed HIPAA Forms in Eaglesoft

Change happens with Federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Guidelines and there are times when Eaglesoft users need to update the Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP) for Protected Health Information documentation.

I’ve created this Intellicare Alert process to notify users when there is no NPP on file or if the NPP has not been updated in a term from 0 to 99 months or a little over 8 years (the longest Eaglesoft allows you to set an Intellicare for).

Here is the Intellicare If This, Then That statement:

“Show me an icon on the Schedule and/or the Virtual Clinical Screen for Patients who are over 18 and have not completed or updated HIPAA Forms”.

This Intellicare is designed to be “triggered” by a document stored in SmartDoc that is saved in the “HIPAA Forms” Document Group and not triggered by the 3 HIPAA checkboxes which not all 3rd Party Software companies check.
