How Andre Set’s up a Temporary Hygienist in Eaglesoft
Question: What’s the best way to set up a temporary (“temp”) hygiene in Eaglesoft?
Answer: Most offices use a Provider with a name like "Temp Hygienist". I’d go with “Guest Hygienist” or “Interim Hygienist”
If they do, I suggest that there is a "temp user security profile" (link below). Remember that for security of your Electronic Health Records you NEED to have a Password for EACH person logging in.
That means you set up a unique Password for each "Temp" during the duration of their work in the office or have an Admin logs in to the Temp Hygienist’s profile for the during the duration of their work? The Password must be change for EACH Hygienists who works in the office.
If the Hygienist is a recurring Providers (Example: "we always use Sally when our full time Hygienist is out"), just set them up as Provider.
It is ESENTIAL that all Clinical notes created by any Temporary Hygienist include their full name and license number.
